Join Windmill Tours for a six (6) day, five (5) night adventure to Washington, DC. We will be experiencing our nation’s history as well as taking in the seasonal Christmas events that our nation’s capital has to offer. Historic homes will be decked out in holiday finery. You will also have the opportunity to shop at the Annual Downtown Holiday Market in Penn Quarter or visit the National Portrait Gallery. You must have a valid photo ID for this tour as several of our tour sites require it for entry.

Holidays at the Manor House - Wildwood Preserve Metropark house tour and model train exhibit at the past home of Champion Spark Plug Company co-founder R.A. Stranahan.
United States Botanic Garden - Oldest botanic garden in North America with a seasonal Poinsettia display.
Admission to the Holocaust Museum - Primary purpose is to inform, remember, and inspire visitors as citizens in an interdependent world.
Admission to Enchant at Nationals Park - World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze and Market
National Christmas Tree and Pathway of Peace - The National Christmas Tree is surrounded by 56 state, district and territory trees decorated by school children chosen from each state.
Illuminated Monument Driving Tour - Marine Corps Memorial, Air Force Memorial, Washington Monument, National World War II Memorial, and the National Christmas Tree.
United States Capital Tour - Most recognized symbol of democratic government in the world. The U.S. Capital has housed Congress since 1800.
United States Library of Congress - The largest national library in the world with more than 100 million items in three buildings.
Woodrow Wilson House - During Christmas, this historic home, where President Woodrow Wilson lived after his presidency, transforms into a festive wonderland.
Christmas at Hillwood Estate - The mansion of former cereal heiress, Majorie Merriweather Post.
Mount Vernon Mansion Tour - George Washington’s former home and final resting place has some of the most unique and wonderful holiday shopping in the DC area.
Ford Orientation Center & Donald W. Reynolds Museum and Education Center - View items describing the life and times of our nation’s first president.
Choice of the Smithsonian Institution’s Museums on the National Mall - You will have several hours to visit the museum of your choice.
Stops at the Korean War Veteran’s Memorial/Lincoln Memorial/Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial/National World War II Memorial.
Arlington National Cemetery - Tram ticket to view America’s shrine to valor and sacrifice. The cemetery is the former plantation and home of Civil War General Robert E. Lee.
Flight 93 National Memorial - View the site where on September 11, 2001 the actions of 40 passengers and crew aboard flight 93 averted an attack on the U.S. Capital.
